Caption: 4110 follows closely behind 4123 as they turn onto Massachusetts Avenue from the bus tunnel. The tunnel was opened in 1912 at the same time the first part of what is now the Red Line opened from Harvard to Park Street and was originally used by trolleys. Trolley last used the tunnel in 1959, when the cars were reassigned to the new Riverside line. (March 18, 2010)
