The Kinki Nippon Railway, better known as the Kintetsu Railway, is a regional railroad that operates south of Kyoto.  It is the largest private railroad in Japan, with 594 Km of mostly 1435mm gauge (standard gauge) track (it has a few narrow-gauge lines as well).  During my class trip to Japan we rode the line from Kyoto to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple. Here are a few pictures of the railroad's trains, mostly in Kyoto.
