Caption: The original western terminus of the Shinkansen, Osaka has a major yard for storing extra trainsets. I took a few pictures while riding the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to Tokyo. The Shinkansen station is actually called Shin-Osaka (New Osaka), because it was built new for the Shinkansen, rather than as an add-on to the existing train station. (1 of 3)
