Caption: Steamtown is home to Union Pacific #4012, a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy. This is one of 8 Big Boys that have been preserved (out of 25 built) and the only one east of the Mississippi. It's tender can hold 28 tons of coal and 25,000 gallons of water, and yet it could go through all of that in only 30 miles of heavy work.
